Drucker & Scaccetti (D&S) released its third annual tax season video today amid wide-spread anticipation and speculation about the theme. This year’s theme spoofs the long-running, popular TV show the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” starring Philadelphia’s own Will Smith. Our video is available on the company website, taxwarriors.com (After 3pm today) and on our YouTube channel. It’s called “The Freshest Tax Firm in Philly.”
D&S’s version features a rap battle, as two groups of employees dressed in alma mater garb from Drexel, Temple, Saint Joseph’s, LaSalle, Loyola, Penn, Villanova and University of Delaware, demonstrate each other’s skills in front of Philadelphia’s City Hall. Many references to the opening credits of the original 1990s NBC sitcom are recreated in the D&S video for comic relief. The idea is to show that accountants can have a sense of humor, even at the most tense time in the profession…tax season.
A firm’s culture sets the tone for the individuals it attracts and hires, the values it espouses and its image in the marketplace. Drucker & Scaccetti is known for having a unique culture and has been recognized as a top accounting firm in the Philadelphia area. Each year, we create a short and humorous video, teaching us that life is too short to take things so seriously—especially taxes.
“Taxes are a serious matter when it comes to sustaining and growing our clients’ wealth,” says Eric Elmore, D&S marketing director. “But getting through busy season requires blowing off steam to stay sane. The filming of our annual video is one of the many ways we balance hard work with fun.”
