Grant Thornton’s Philadelphia Office Admits Three New Partners

Grant Thornton LLP admitted Melissa Beaumont as Audit partner, Meghan Jodz as Tax partner and Michael Pramberger as Audit partner, and promoted Joseph Hayes to Advisory managing director and Michael Sinese to Tax managing director in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Across the firm, Grant Thornton admitted 47 new partners and principals and promoted 29 professionals to managing director.

Partners and principals admitted to the firm are proven leaders that have demonstrated excellence in embracing the firm’s values and helping clients achieve smart, quality growth in all aspects of their businesses. Noted for their exceptional contributions to Grant Thornton, these experienced professionals demonstrate a great ability to build relationships with clients and people at all levels of the firm. Managing directors are the highest-level employee position in the firm and are important members of the firm’s leadership team.

Beaumont joined Grant Thornton in 2009 and has more than 10 years of auditing experience in various industries, including a rotation within Grant Thornton’s National Professional Standards Group. She specializes in the financial services, banking and real estate industries, and is responsible for providing technical guidance and risk management oversight of financial statement audits, with a focus on publicly traded companies. She also serves as the Philadelphia office leader for the firm’s Women at Grant Thornton initiative, which is designed to enhance the recruitment, retention and advancement of women into leadership positions. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, she served in financial and accounting roles at other area accounting firms.

Beaumont is a certified public accountant (CPA), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA). She is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s Youth Professional Network and a member of the board of directors of Girls, Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Beaumont received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Joseph’s University.

Jodz joined the firm in 2011 and has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting. She heads the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax practice for the Atlantic Coast Market Territory and is part of the national M&A leadership team. Her M&A experience includes numerous transactions ranging in size from $10 million to $2.9 billion. She has extensive experience working with both financial and strategic buyers and sellers, and has experience working with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, transportation and logistics, technology, services, and financial services industries. Prior to being admitted as partner, Jodz served as a senior manager.

Jodz is a CPA, a member of the AICPA and a member of the PICPA. She is actively involved in the Philadelphia chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Jodz received a master’s degree in taxation from Villanova University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgetown University.

Pramberger joined Grant Thornton in 2003 and has been with the firm his entire career. He serves both public and privately-held Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), focusing on equity, mortgage, hybrid REITs and specialized asset management companies. He specializes in initial registration, capital raising (including the issuance of complex debt and equity instruments), financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and testing, and liquidity events. Prior to being admitted as partner, Pramberger served as a senior manager.

Pramberger is a CPA in Pennsylvania and is a member of the AICPA and the PICPA. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University. 

Hayes joined the firm in 2012 and has more than 20 years of accounting, audit and internal audit experience in both the corporate and public accounting environments. He has managed some of the firm’s most complex projects both domestically and internationally. He specializes in large scale regulatory reporting implementation efforts, contract compliance reviews and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to being promoted to managing director, Hayes served as a senior manager.

Hayes is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and the PICPA. He serves on the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and is a member of the Society of Insurance Financial Management. Hayes received a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.

Michael Sinese joined the firm in 2002 and has more than 14 years of tax consulting experience. He specializes in various tax fixed asset studies, including cost segregation, and repairs and maintenance studies. Sinese serves as the Atlantic Coast Market Territory Capital Cost Recovery Leader for the firm. Prior to being promoted to managing director, Sinese served as a senior manager.

Sinese is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and the PICPA. He received a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.
