To expand their coverage of U.S. titles in a new program for book buyers, Allied Commerce is integrating titles, cover images, and ISBNs provided by Bowker, a ProQuest affiliate and the retail agent for ProQuest's renowned metadata.

Allied Commerce, known as a provider of automation solutions for mid-to-large sized ECommerce retailers, is building a website and mobile app that allows users to search for books by scanning an ISBN bar code. The user then receives a list of local bookstores that sell the book. The back office software integrates with inventory systems from booksellers to maintain a database of the books in stock at various bookstores.
