The firm will relocate its Philadelphia office to 1735 Market; remain at same location in New York

Montgomery McCracken, a full-service law firm with offices in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware, announced that it has signed long-term lease agreements in Philadelphia and New York. The firm signed a 16-year lease at 1735 Market Street in Philadelphia and a 10-year lease to remain at 437 Madison Avenue in New York.

After spending more than two decades at 123 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia, the firm announced it would relocate its Philadelphia office to 1735 Market in June of 2018. The new office location consists of approximately 67,000 square feet across three floors and nearly 8,000 square feet of additional space in the building for administrative functions. “We believe 1735 Market will afford us greater space efficiencies and will allow us to enhance our collaborative work environment. 1735 Market also offers us a modern work space with accessibility to state-of-the-art technology that will allow us to handle the needs of our clients of tomorrow,” said Louis A. Petroni, Chairman of Montgomery McCracken. “Staying in the central business district is a priority for us and the new building matched what we were looking for in terms of location, convenience and space.”

The firm has had an office at 437 Madison Avenue in New York since 2012. “The decision to remain at 437 Madison made sense to us for our attorneys and clients during a critical time for growth,” said Lee Unterman, Managing Partner of the New York office. Under the new lease agreement, Montgomery McCracken will design and expand its presence in the building. The build-out of the space is expected to begin in September 2017.

Petroni added, “Right now, Montgomery McCracken is focused on growth, both geographically and in headcount. It is safe to say that while we are a firm that is invested in Philadelphia and New York, we also believe these new lease agreements will give us better opportunities for expansion into other areas, as well.”
