Mark S. DePillis, a real estate lawyer with Ballard Spahr in Philadelphia, has been appointed Chair of the Zoning Hearing Board of Upper Merion Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Mr. DePillis previously served as board Vice Chair and as a member. The board administers the township zoning code, which regulates land use and development in the township, including the King of Prussia area.

Mr. DePillis is a partner in Ballard Spahr's Real Estate Department and leader of the firm's Construction practice. A LEED Accredited Professional as certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, he focuses on real estate development, secured lending, design and construction contracting, and retail and office leasing.
