Stradley Ronon Partner Nicole Trudeau presented at the Institutional Investor Legal Forum’s Winter Roundtable on March 1 at the Harvard Club in New York. Trudeau’s panel, “Appraisal Actions: A Deeper Dive,” discussed the advantages, limitations and pitfalls of mutual funds exercising their appraisal rights as minority shareholders in going private other corporate transactions, as well as the issues in-house counsel needs to consider in pursuing such litigation.

Trudeau represents investment companies including open- and closed-end funds as well as exchange-traded funds, other pooled investment vehicles such as business development companies and their independent board members, as well as investment advisers on matters arising under U.S. federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940.
