Binary Tree promoted its chief operating officer, Nick Wilkinson, to CEO as founder Steven Pivnik transitions from CEO to the executive chairman role.

After launching the company 24 years ago, Pivnik will now work on Binary Tree’s future M&A targets, strategic partnerships and potential investors.

Wilkinson previously served as the CEO of Vitalyst, where he diversified the company’s portfolio of services, expanded its partner network and restructured its business strategy for continued growth and expansion.

Binary Tree recruited Wilkinson in 2016 and, under his direction, the company experienced services growth of 43 percent; introduced a new managed service, Surround365™; and established a cloud service center and new office in Newark, Delaware. Wilkinson’s executive expertise in the global information technology service industry is extensive, with more than 25 years in corporate management. Wilkinson has achieved success across the commercial spectrum: With Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a Fortune 500 company; Vitalyst, a private equity-backed company; and his own IT security startup company. His roles included profit and loss management, corporate strategy, consultancy, sales and marketing and portfolio management.
