Stradley Ronon White-Collar Defense Practice Group Chair Michael J. Engle presented on two panels at the annual Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Annual Conference on April 27 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His first panel, “Responding to Grand Jury Subpoenas: The Lawyer is Not a Potted Plant,” discussed the Pennsylvania Grand Jury Act. His second panel, “The Art of Sentencing Advocacy: Litigation for Mitigation in State and Federal Courts,” explored practice pointers for state and federal sentencing matters and tips for challenging critical sentencing issues.

Engle has more than 15 years of experience in federal criminal cases, complex white-collar defense matters, and internal or parallel investigations on behalf of corporations and other entities. He has represented white-collar defendants in complex, high-stakes federal and state prosecutions and has guided corporations and other organizations through the intricacies of government investigations. Engle has defended individuals and businesses in connection with grand jury subpoenas and in numerous jury trials. He also represents attorneys and other professionals in disciplinary and licensing matters.
