Mehryn Corrigan

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC) is pleased to announce that Mehryn Corrigan, senior sales and operations manager, was named to the 2017 Women of the Channel list by CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company. Honorees on this annual list span the IT channel, representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem. Each woman on the list is recognized for her outstanding leadership, vision and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation. CRN editors also consider professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel as part of their selection criteria.

As a senior sales and operations manager for SEC's B2B division in the U.S., Mehryn has been instrumental in managing the integration team responsible for the transfer of operational knowledge and systems from Sharp to its vendor managed inventory (VMI) partner, Tech Data. She did this while at the same time successfully driving channel sales on professional display products. Prior to joining Sharp, Mehryn gained channel experience working in distribution and Pro AV at Tech Data in a number of management capacities. She earned her bachelor's degree in marketing at the University of Miami while playing varsity soccer.

"These extraordinary executives support every aspect of the channel ecosystem, from technical innovation to marketing to business development, working tirelessly to keep the channel moving into the future," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. "They are creating and elevating channel partner programs, developing fresh go-to-market strategies, strengthening the channel's network of partnerships and building creative new IT solutions, among many other contributions. We congratulate all the 2017 Women of the Channel on their stellar accomplishments and look forward to their future success."

"Mehryn's outstanding work ethic truly embodies the spirit of Sharp Electronics, and she could not be more deserving of CRN's 2017 Women of the Channel award," said Doug Albregts, president, CEO and chairman of Sharp Electronics Corporation. "Thanks in part to her channel relationship with Tech Data and her drive to succeed, she has helped to solidify excellent operational improvements for Sharp as well as increase our ProAV Channel sales by 83 percent in 2016."

The 2017 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.CRN.com/wotc.
