Stradley Ronon Chairman William R. Sasso and Partner Valentino F. DiGiorgio III were named to City and State Pennsylvania’s 2017 “Power 100” list. The list honors the 100 most influential people in government, business, culture and social services.

Sasso has been chairman of Stradley Ronon since 1994. As chairman, he is responsible for oversight and management of more than 200 attorneys in the firm's eight offices in Philadelphia, Malvern and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Wilmington, Delaware; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; and New York. Outside of his legal practice, he is widely recognized for his civic accomplishments, including having served as chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors, a commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority, and as a trustee of Leo Niessen Jr. Charitable Foundation. He also serves on the board of directors of the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, the board of trustees of LaSalle University and was the Governor-appointed chairman of the Pennsylvania Infrastructure and Investment Authority (PENNVEST). Sasso has also received numerous recognitions and awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Legal Intelligencer and recognition as one of the “23 Most Influential Business People in Philadelphia” by the Philadelphia Business Journal – the only lawyer in private practice to be so recognized.

DiGiorgio, who was recently elected chair of Pennsylvania’s Republican party, is co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s public finance and banking practice groups. He handles all legal aspects of financial services, including commercial lending and tax-exempt financing for 501(c)(3) entities, governmental units and other entities. DiGiorgio also serves as solicitor for Uwchlan Township Industrial Development Authority (IDA) in Chester County and as solicitor for the Bethlehem Revitalization and Improvement Authority in connection with its City Revitalization and Improvement Zone (CRIZ) tax increment funding loan program. DiGiorgio has been active in GOP Politics since 1986 as a committeeman, activist, donor and leader. He is a frequent commentator on political events and appears as a regular panelist on the Channel 6 program, Inside Story, that airs on Sunday morning.
