Novel approach to wellness connects the dots between improved health and access to fitness for communities
Health Partners Plans (HPP) is encouraging Southeastern Pennsylvanians to get up and move on the path to healthier, happier lives through Wellness Partners, a life-changing, inclusive initiative that provides engaging resources and activities through fitness, nutrition and education — at no cost — to HPP members and the rest of the community.
Wellness Partners is designed to improve the health of all individuals by putting a healthier lifestyle within reach for everyone. The program assists participants with their nutritional and physical fitness goals through interactive events and activities, comprising a holistic approach to health and wellness. Wellness Partners provides access to fitness for communities through Fun Fit Days at YMCAs, Yoga Days, Biking Days, Farm Stand Days, self-defense classes and much more.
“This is a natural extension of the longstanding commitment we’ve made to improving the health of our communities,” says Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing Michelle Davidson. “Connecting with individuals and families within our communities — especially those facing challenges to obtaining good health — has always been a top priority for us.”
Wellness Partners began in the five-county region of Southeast Pennsylvania and will expand as HPP grows. This fall, HPP will recognize participants who accepted the challenge to make healthy living a permanent part of their lives through a member-community appreciation 5K race.
