Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A. partner Michelle Altieri was an invited lecturer at the American Bar Association Section of Family Law 2017 Spring CLE Conference held May 3rd to 6th in Savannah, Georgia. She spoke on the topic “Disparity in Child Support” – presenting challenges faced in cases that involve low earner and high earner child support matters, including upward and downward requests for modification.

According to the American Bar Association, the Section of Family Law mission is to serve as the national leader in the field of Marital and Family Law. Its goals include the improvement of the family law system and the public and professional understanding of such matters. The group looks to be pre-eminent voice on family law issues through education. This course was one of the comprehensive CLE programs, which encompassed an all-day section on military family law and a choice of 18 other cutting-edge topics.

Michelle Altieri concentrates her practice in divorce and family law and has focused in this area for more than fifteen years. Her client representation involves diverse issues, including divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and adoption. She is experienced with all phases of divorce litigation and settlement negotiations, mediations and arbitrations. Ms. Altieri is a member of the Camden County and New Jersey State Bar Associations, where she serves on the Family Law Section Executive Committee. In addition, she is a Master in the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court and serves as the Programming Co-Chair. She is also a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist in Burlington and Gloucester counties.
