CSS Industries Appoints Jeffrey DeSandre VP and Chief Information Officer

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CSS Industries, Inc. (NYSE: CSS) announced today that, effective June 19, 2017, Jeffrey DeSandre will join the organization as its new Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Effective with the commencement of Mr. DeSandre’s employment, Lois Karpinski, who currently serves in the dual roles of Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Process, and Chief Information Officer, will focus entirely on serving as the executive leader responsible for coordinating cross-functional mergers and acquisition due diligence, acquisition planning and transaction integration.

Mr. DeSandre has twenty years of experience in the information technology (IT) field, including his most recent experience as Chief Information Officer of First Quality Enterprises, a privately held manufacturer of high-quality, private-label and branded consumer products. During his tenure with First Quality, Mr. DeSandre supported the company through a period of significant U.S. and international growth. He was instrumental in developing First Quality’s overall plan to fully modernize its IT application and infrastructure architecture. Prior to his employment with First Quality Enterprises, Mr. DeSandre served for four years as CSS’ Information Technology Director. Mr. DeSandre holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of New Jersey, maintains a PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute, and is ITIL Foundation certified by ITIL/IT Service Management.
