CBRE Group, Inc. (CBRE) announced today that it has successfully arranged for the sale of Midway Shopping Center, a 226,894 square-foot neighborhood center located at 1026 Wyoming Avenue in Wyoming, Pennsylvania.

CBRE Executive Vice President Brad Nathanson negotiated on behalf of the seller, SIN Ventures, and procured the buyer, Endeavor Equities, during the transaction. This sale marks the fifth property that Mr. Nathanson has sold on behalf of SIN Ventures over the past two years to close out their retail fund.

“We had very strong interest in the asset given the preferred choice in todays market is to own grocery-anchored assets,” said Nathanson. “With the Price Chopper, Bon-Ton, and Harbor Freight recently extending their leases and committing to the market, the asset was very favorable in providing attractive returns for a secondary market. With the abundance of national tenants overall in the asset, it attracted national interest.”

Built in 1970 and then renovated in 2000, this community retail center is positioned in the Wilkes Barre submarket by way of Interstate 476. Midway Shopping Center, which is currently 93 percent occupied, is anchored by a 53,277 square-foot Price Chopper Grocery Store, a 64,000 square-foot Bon-Ton Department Store, Harbor Freight Tools, CVS Pharmacy and Dollar Tree.
