Stradley Ronon White-Collar Defense Practice Group Chair Michael J. Engle served as a panelist for “The Life of an Internal Investigation” at a Pennsylvania Bar Institute CLE on July 12. Engle was a panel member for the ethics hour, entitled, “The Ethics of Interviewing Witnesses: There’s a Rule for That!” The session focused on the use of Upjohn warnings, how to effectively administer such warnings to an employee witness, privilege issues when interviewing former employees of the client and other related topics.

Engle has more than 15 years of experience in federal criminal cases, complex white-collar defense matters, and internal or parallel investigations on behalf of corporations and other entities. He has represented white-collar defendants in complex, high-stakes federal and state prosecutions and has guided corporations and other organizations through the intricacies of government investigations. Engle has defended individuals and businesses in connection with grand jury subpoenas and in numerous jury trials.
