Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian, P.A., a boutique South Jersey firm concentrating in divorce and family law, announces attorney Rebecca Berger has been appointed to two local boards – the Center For Family Services and The Salvation Army Kroc Center.

Consistent with Charny Karpousis Altieri & Donoian’s commitment to community service, Ms. Berger is a strong advocate for community involvement and most recently was named to the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Camden. The 120,000 square-foot community center is place of gathering and enrichment with an array of education, sports, faith, arts and supportive programs under one roof, open and accessible to all. She was also appointed to the Center for Family Services Board of Trustees headquartered in Camden, NJ. The non-profit organization is committed to uplifting individuals and families through an innovative continuum of care and has been a force for positive change since 1920. As a board member for both organizations, she supports the empowerment of individuals, families and communities to achieve better lives.

Ms. Berger commented on her appointments. “Both organizations are focused on specific needs of the community and provide necessary support for individuals and families. By participating with each group, I am able to further support my goal of giving back and helping others be successful in all aspects of life. It is extremely rewarding.”
Rebecca A. Berger has been practicing law for nearly a decade. Prior to joining the firm in May 2015, she worked as an Assistant Burlington County Prosecutor for seven years, handling the highest level cases and spending four years in the Domestic Violence Unit, which included training law enforcement officers in the investigation and prevention of domestic violence. Ms. Berger is a member of New Jersey State, Burlington County and Camden County Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has also been an active volunteer with the Domestic Violence Project and State of New Jersey Mediator and Community Dispute Resolution Committee. In 2016, Ms. Berger was one of twenty-one Burlington County business and community leaders chosen as 2016 Emerging Leaders by the Burlington County Times and the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
