Folks from tech consulting firm Weidenhammer, headquartered in Wyomissing, Pa., with offices in the Wayne area, are taking the R5Paoli/Thorndale line into town Aug. 17 for a happy hour sesh at Independence Beer Garden.

Why? Of course it has to do with connecting to the local tech scene, but tapping into Philly’s talent pool is also part of the equation.

“Weidenhammer was started as a technology consulting firm near Reading in 1978, but has had a presence in the metro Philadelphia marketplace since the mid ’90s,” said the company’s Jeff Whitlock.
