Grant Thornton Names George Serafin National Managing Principal of Health Care and Life Sciences Practice

George Serafin

ISELIN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grant Thornton LLP has named George Serafin national managing principal of the firm’s Health Care and Life Sciences industry practice. In addition to his new national leadership role overseeing the delivery of audit, tax and consulting services within this industry group, he continues to lead Grant Thornton’s Advisory Services’ Health Care and Life Sciences practice. He succeeds Anne McGeorge, who led Grant Thornton’s Health Care industry practice since 2006.

Serafin has more than 30 years of experience in the health care and life sciences industries, spanning research and development, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and IT. He works with clients globally to develop and execute business and risk management strategies that promote innovation and growth, operational efficiency and process excellence, and sustained regulatory compliance.

“George’s broad background and ‘molecule to patient’ perspective makes him a natural choice to continue the momentum in our Health Care industry practice,” said Nichole Jordan, national managing partner of Markets, Clients and Industry for Grant Thornton. “His appointment reflects our commitment to our industry program at Grant Thornton, where we’re focused on deeply understanding our clients’ opportunities and challenges and providing insights that help them create, protect and transform value.”

Serafin joined Grant Thornton as a principal in 2017 from Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he led the life sciences and health care regulatory risk and compliance practice. He received a master’s degree in technology management and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
