Cross Properties Announces Master Redevelopment Plans For A Central Corridor Of Bala Cynwyd

8/21/17

NoBA will introduce locally curated retail, restaurants and luxury living creating a vibrant district located in the historic suburban community

Cross Properties is proud to announce NoBA, a $100 million, multi-phase master development project, that will revitalize Bala Cynwyd’s centrally-located Bala Avenue corridor into a vibrant community destination with locally curated retail, restaurants and modern living.

Envisioned by Cross Properties, the reimagined district will transform 10 Union, 1 Cynwyd and 202 Bala into bespoke, mixed-use properties creating new modern residential units, roof decks, public gathering spaces, plentiful parking, 15,000 square-feet of lifestyle amenity space and 20,000 square-feet of mixed-use retail.

“In developing the concept for NoBA, we worked closely with neighborhood groups to ensure that the reimagined NoBA will not only be a lively district that is established in its history, but better serve the community and the future of Bala Cynwyd,” said Bobby Fijan, Partner, Cross Properties. “The development capitalizes on the existing Bala Cynwyd and will blend in seamlessly; from the façade of the buildings to the connectivity of trails and roads, and accessibility to public transportation, NoBA will serve the growing town and its economy for decades to come.

Throughout the construction and development of NoBA, Cross Properties will host open-to-the-public “pop-up” neighborhood events featuring a curated mix of local businesses, retailers, restaurants and artisans to gather the community and offer a preview of the experiential, town center environment that NoBA will bring to Bala Cynwyd.

Construction on the first phase of NoBA, centered around development at 10 Union Avenue, is underway. NoBA will open in phases beginning in the spring of 2019.
