JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Appoints Andrew Colket as Director of Sales

9/12/17

JDog Junk Removal & Hauling (JDog), a national franchise organization dedicated to providing business ownership opportunities to veterans and relatives of veterans, announced today it has expanded its senior leadership team by hiring United States Army veteran Andrew Colket as the national franchise's new Director of Sales.

Throughout nine years of service in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Colket was deployed twice to Iraq and Egypt for Multi-National Forces and Observers. He was honorably discharged in 2009 having reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. Colket most recently worked for Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia as the assistant director for the Office of Veterans Services. He also serves on the board of directors for The Veterans Group, a Philadelphia-based non-profit focused on helping homeless veterans.

"I am thrilled to be joining a team that encompasses the values I've experienced in the military and aligns with my passion of assisting veterans with finding employment," said Colket. "My mission is to contribute to the success of JDog by connecting military veterans and their families with the opportunity of business ownership and to be a part of the exciting JDog movement across the country."

Colket joins JDog during an accelerated growth period. Since starting to franchise in 2012, the company has awarded more than 250 territories in 35 states. Each week, a new franchise is opening. In 2017, JDog will hire at least 300 veterans, and has a 10-year plan to have 10,000 veterans working within the JDog system.

"With the high interest in our franchise opportunity right now, we are looking forward to Andrew's leadership to spearhead our franchise sales process and create a seamless experience for our new franchisees from start to finish," said Jerry Flanagan, JDog Founder and CEO.

JDog sells franchises exclusively to military veterans and their family members. Franchise owners operate easily recognizable, camouflage vehicles and trailers and wear military-style uniforms. JDog recycles and repurposes a substantial amount of the collected material. The Philadelphia-based company works closely with local and national organizations like Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity, as well as local schools, churches and hospitals to donate useful items to those in need.
