Hear From This Obama Advisor Next Week On Education Innovation

As part of the ExCITe Center’s Learning Innovation Conversation, an edtech authority is coming to Philly.

Baltimore’s Katrina Stevens, former Obama administration official, will drop by Drexel University on Sept. 19 to share a primer on what’s working in the use of technology in classrooms around the country.

“We hope the main takeaway from Stevens’ talk is: it takes a village,” said ExCITe Center Director Youngmoo Kim, “Teachers and administrators by themselves can’t make the kind of systemic change that is needed from us. There are ways of being involved and engaged whether you’re in the education space or not: tech startups, entrepreneurs, policy makers all have a crucial stake in this.”
