Ballard Spahr Partner David H. Pittinsky was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers this past weekend at the organization's 2017 Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada.
The American College of Trial Lawyers is an invitation-only professional association of trial lawyers from the United States and Canada. The College has a rigorous admissions process and selects only lawyers who have demonstrated the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality. The College maintains and seeks to improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice through education and public statements on important legal issues relating to its mission.
"With a distinguished career spanning over 50 years, including successes in many significant trials, David is most deserving of this special recognition," said Geoffrey A. Kahn, Chair of Ballard Spahr's Litigation Department.
Membership in the College cannot exceed 1 percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Currently, there are approximately 5,800 members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction), and Honorary Fellows.
