Best is pleased to announce that two of its seniorexecutives have been named by Intelligent Insurer magazine in the 2017 edition of its annual Influential Women in (Re)Insurance list, which profiles an elite roster of female executives making a mark on the risk transfer industry.

Andrea Keenan, senior managing director of industry relations throughout the Americas – Canada, the United States, Caribbean and Latin America – together with Catherine Thomas, senior director of analytics based in A.M. Best’s Europe Middle East and Africa office in London, are named in the honor list by Intelligent Insurer.

Keenan joined A.M. Best in 2000, and has held various roles with increased responsibilities. Keenan also has been instrumental in promoting A.M. Best’s data and analytic capabilities through raising the profile of its research activities, as well as the development of A.M. Best country risk analytics, and is a frequent industry speaker on various topics, including microinsurance.

Thomas, who started with A.M. Best in 2006, also has advanced during her tenure, and today manages a significant portfolio of rating accounts, managing an international team of rating analysts, covering Lloyd’s and the London market, and many companies across Europe. Thomas also regularly presents A.M. Best’s view in speaking roles and contributes to the extensive stream of special reports and market briefings on broader (re)insurance issues and global markets.
