Amy C. Lemen
The Parkinson's Unity Walk announced today the appointment of Amy C. Lemen to its Board of Directors and new roles for two long-standing members, James J. McNasby and Carol J. Perlman.

Perlman as they serve in their new positions as Vice President & Treasurer, and Vice President & Secretary, respectively. We are fortunate to have them by our side as we work together to support our Mission, raise funds for Parkinson's research, and increase disease awareness," stated Carol Walton, Executive Director of the Parkinson's Unity Walk.
Amy C. Lemen, MA, LCSW is a Parkinson's specialist clinical social worker and psychotherapist helping individuals adapt to living with neurodegenerative illness. She is Research Assistant Professor of Neurology and Medicine at NYU School of Medicine. Since 2007, she has played an integral role in the development of the Marlene and Paolo Fresco Institute for Parkinson's and Movement Disorders at NYU Langone Health. She currently manages domestic and international programs for the Fresco Institute, including the Fresco Network of Excellence in Italy, the Edmond J. Safra National Parkinson's Wellness Initiative, the Edmond J. Safra Parkinson's Wellness Program-NYC and the NYU Clinical Social Work for Parkinson's Program. She is the co-founder of the Edmond J. Safra Interdisciplinary Home Visit Program for Advanced Parkinson's. She is particularly proud of Team Bold Moves, a group that trains together as well as raises funds on behalf of the Unity Walk.
James J. McNasby, JD is Managing Director, Global Sales at Marsh LLC. Formerly, Jim was General Counsel of Marsh & McLennan Companies Risk & Insurance Segment. He joined Marsh in 2007. Before Marsh, Jim held positions at Kraft Foods, Philip Morris, and Davis Polk & Wardwell. He is a Board Member of The Billy Rose Foundation and a Public Policy Council member of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. He has served as Director of United Biscuits Group Investments, PLC, in the U.K. Diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's disease in 2000, Jim has been a Unity Walk participant since 2007 and as Captain of Team McMoss, he has raised over $872,000 for research. Jim has served on the Unity Walk's Board since 2011.
Carol J. Perlman is Principal and Founder of Perlman Communications, Ltd. Her expertise is in preparing companies for navigating crisis situations; tailoring strategies to mitigate the impact on company image, reputation, productivity and market value. Carol has held positions as Partner at Continuum Solutions, Senior Vice President of Global Healthcare at MSL, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Amersham PLC (now GE Healthcare), and Vice President of Global Communications at Sterling Winthrop INC. Carol has been a Unity Walk Board Member since 2011.

About the Parkinson's Unity Walk
The annual 1.4-mile wheelchair-accessible walk in New York City's Central Park is the largest grassroots fundraiser for Parkinson's disease research in the country. Hundreds of studies have been funded since its inception in 1994. 100% of donations support research funded by six Parkinson's disease foundations: American Parkinson Disease Association, National Parkinson Foundation and Parkinson's Disease Foundation (divisions of the Parkinson's Foundation), The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, The Parkinson Alliance, and The Parkinson's Institute and Clinical Center.
