Stradley Ronon Counsel George Michael Gerstein served as a panelist for AB’s (AllianceBernstein) 2017 Retirement Solutions Forum on Oct. 4 and 5 in New York. Gerstein’s panel, “DOL Rule and Litigation Update,” discussed the DOL Fiduciary Rule and recent 401(k) litigation.

With experience working at two large financial institutions, Gerstein concentrates on the fiduciary and prohibited transaction provisions of ERISA as they apply to the investment and management of plan assets. He’s been heavily focused on the DOL Fiduciary Rule and otherwise assisting clients with ERISA compliance strategies. Gerstein is routinely interviewed by the financial press, and has most recently been quoted in the Wall Street Journal regarding DOL regulatory developments. He recently penned an op-ed for Pensions & Investments regarding the importance of fiduciaries to be aware of the new FX Global Code, and he has a forthcoming article in Bloomberg BNA on the fiduciary implications of climate change.
