Brian Auerbach focuses his practice on U.S. and international intellectual property litigation
The Philadelphia intellectual property law firm of Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel is pleased to announce that IP attorney Brian S. S. Auerbach has joined the firm, bringing a background in biomedical and electrical engineering and experience in intellectual property litigation and prosecution.
While Auerbach’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, he also prosecutes foreign and domestic patent applications and provides patentability, freedom-to-operate, and patent invalidity opinions. His areas of expertise include medical device technology, software-based applications, wearable electronics, and general electronic systems. He also is experienced in trademark prosecution, copyright management, and trade secret protection.
Auerbach brings extensive transactional skills to the firm beyond his patent practice. He is experienced in software licensing and terms of service agreements, general technology transactions, ownership and authorship agreements, and technology services agreements. He frequently provides intellectual property portfolio management and enforcement counseling to both established and start-up companies.
Auerbach received his law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering and a master’s degree in philosophy from Vanderbilt University.
While at Panitch Schwarze, Auerbach will continue to dedicate time to pro bono and nonprofit service. He is a volunteer attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates and serves as president of the board of directors for Singing City.
