West Penn Multi-List, Inc., the definitive source for real estate information in a 17-county area in western Pennsylvania, has elected George Hackett, president of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services, Pittsburgh, as president of West Penn Multi-List, Inc. for a two-year term effective immediately.

Having worked in the real estate business for the past 43 years, Hackett is well equipped with the knowledge and expertise to serve West Penn Multi-List, Inc.'s brokers and agents.

"George has been part of the West Penn Multi-List family for many years, and we're happy to have him back in the role of president," said Barbara Kohl, chief operating officer, West Penn Multi-List, Inc. "This is an exciting time for our organization as we are currently launching a new software to enhance our members' experience, so we're honored to have George's leadership during this rollout."

A Pittsburgh native, Hackett earned his real estate license in 1974 and began his real estate career with the Hosack Real Estate agency, while still working full time as a secondary school history teacher. He quickly became a top-producing agent, devoted his career to real estate, and by 1981, he was the company's general manager and 30% owner.

In 1984, the Hosack Company was sold to Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services, and Hackett became President of the Pittsburgh company, the position he currently holds. At this time, he oversees 12 offices and more than 900 affiliated sales associates.
