CURE Magazine Receives 2017 Folio Award

CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CURE® magazine, the nation’s leading digital and print media enterprise focused on patients with cancer, has been honored with a 2017 Folio Award. CURE® and two sister publications also garnered four honorable mentions in the contest that recognizes uncompromising journalism and top-notch design.

The results of the national contest, which confers Eddie Awards for editorial efforts and Ozzie Awards for design, were announced by Folio during an October 11 ceremony in New York City.

CURE®won an Eddie Award for its cover story “Zeroing in on CAR T-Cell Therapy,” which appeared in a special issue on hematologic cancers. The piece won in a category recognizing a single article in a consumer magazine focused on health care, medical and/or nursing news.

CURE®received an honorable mention for its first-ever magazine dedicated to financial assistance and medication adherence, in the annual one-shot category for special issues published no more than once a year. It earned another for its Summer 2016 issue, in the full-issue category for consumer magazines dedicated to health care, medical and/or nursing.

In the Ozzie Awards contest, CURE® received an honorable mention for the design of an essay book, “Extraordinary Healers: CURE®Readers Honor Oncology Nurses, Vol. 11.” The book was recognized in the Consumer Supplemental/Annual/One-Shot category.

Sister publication HEAL® magazine received an honorable mention in the Eddies contest for a cover story titled “The Key to Job Lock: Facing Employment Obstacles in Cancer Survivorship.” The category was for a single article or series in a consumer magazine dedicated to health care, medical and/or nursing news.

Finally, sister publication Veterinarian’s Money Digest® took an honorable mention in the Ozzies contest in the category of design of a new business-to-business magazine.
