Geralynn Boone, RN, M.S.N., a proven managed care leader deeply experienced in Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care, has joined Health Partners Plans (HPP) as Vice President of Clinical Operations, Medicare. Boone reports to Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Howard Lu.

In this role, Boone will expand HPP’s utilization and clinical care management programs and ensure that regulatory and accreditation requirements are met for HPP’s Medicare Advantage plans and Dual Eligible Special Needs plan (D-SNP).

“Geri brings invaluable experience aligning operational and clinical goals in the Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid lines of business,” said Dr. Lu. “I’m confident that under Geri’s leadership, HPP’s utilization and clinical care management programs will continue to grow and demonstrate the value-based model of care that is such an intrinsic part of improving health outcomes for our members.”

Boone is a registered nurse with 30 years of health care experience working for regional hospitals and health insurers. She began her career as a geriatric medical/surgical nurse at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia and then rose into leadership positions in care management, utilization management and clinical operations. She most recently served as executive director of product administration for Medicaid/MLTSS/D-SNP at Horizon NJ Health Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Trenton. Previously, Boone held positions at UnitedHealthCare, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and Bravo Health.

Boone holds a Master of Science in Management from Rosemont College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Holy Family University. She resides in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, and volunteers with several community groups, including the Salvation Army and the Special Olympics.
