John Nicholson to Lead Civil Engineering Practice for WSP in Pittsburgh

John Nicholson has recently been promoted to the civil technical excellence center lead position in the Pittsburgh office of WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.

In his new position, Mr. Nicholson is responsible for project management, design, coordination, and delivery of new transportation construction and rehabilitation projects for public and private clients. He will focus on staff development, efficient project delivery, and quality assurance/quality control.

Mr. Nicholson has more than 20 years of transportation industry experience, with expertise in transportation construction and rehabilitation. A licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and North Carolina, he earned a B.S. in civil engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Point Park University. He is a member of the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania and the American Society of Highway Engineers, where he serves on the board of directors, scholarship committee, and as the registration committee chairperson of the organization’s Pittsburgh section.
