AmerisourceBergen to Pay $625M to Settle U.S. Government Probe

AmerisourceBergen (NYSE:ABC) agrees to pay $625M to settle a U.S. government probe involving pre-filled syringes.

The investigation involved the pre-filled syringe program of the company’s now-defunct Medical Initiatives subsidiary and certain oncology products, according to an SEC filing.

The agreement, which must be approved by a court, comes in addition to a $260M criminal penalty that a subsidiary already agreed to pay as part of a criminal guilty plea.
