Brian Wells Joins EBA Engineering’s Geospatial Technologies Division

12/13/17

Brian Wells has joined geographIT®, a division of EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA), as a senior GIS analyst providing professional geospatial technology consulting services. He is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will help expand EBA’s GIS practice for public safety and emergency management.

“We are thrilled to have Brian join EBA,” said EBA President and CEO Rizwan Siddiqi, PE. “He is well-known and respected in the emergency management community given his significant accomplishments while working for the City of Philadelphia.”

Wells was most recently a GIS program manager and data scientist for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM), where he was responsible for implementing an innovative GIS program to support emergency management preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts for the nation’s sixth largest city. In addition to his work at the City, he has advised other emergency management agencies on how GIS can be integrated to support daily emergency management operations.

Wells received an Esri Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) award at Esri’s 2017 International User Conference for the Philadelphia OEM’s real-time situational awareness platform—developed collaboratively with EBA.

He earned his bachelor of science degree in geography from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He received the Big City Emergency Emerging Leader Award in 2016 for his work with the Philadelphia OEM.
