Powerhouse Duo Lizann McGowan and Erin Miller Join as Executive Managing Directors

ARA, A Newmark Company (ARA Newmark) welcomes multihousing brokerage experts Lizann McGowan and Erin Miller as executive managing directors in the company’s Philadelphia investment advisory practice. McGowan and Miller depart CBRE and JLL, respectively, to unite and grow ARA Newmark’s regional multihousing practice.

McGowan brings over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in the sale of investment properties on behalf of institutions, pension fund advisors, corporations, REITs, lenders and developers throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Miller brings over 12 years of multihousing brokerage experience, representing owners and developers in the sale of multihousing investment opportunities in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan region. Combined, the team has closed over $7 billion in transactions, including some of the most notable and record setting multihousing transactions in the Philadelphia region.

Prior to ARA Newmark, McGowan was Senior Vice President with CBRE’s Capital Markets-Institutional Properties in Philadelphia, and multihousing practice. McGowan is active with the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Pennsylvania Apartment Association-East. McGowan earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University where she has also been actively involved with the DiLella Real Estate School and served on the Board of Directors of the Villanova Alumni Association.

Miller earned an undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University and her Master of Public Policy degree in business and government at Harvard Kennedy School. She is active in the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Young Friends program of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
