Adam Rosenzweig Joins CBRE To Serve As First Vice President

Rosenzweig is the third person to join Philadelphia’s CBRE Retail Capital Markets team this year

CBRE Group, Inc. (CBRE) is pleased to announce that Adam Rosenzweig has joined the firm’s Conshohocken office as a first vice president of retail capital markets. Since January, two others have joined the retail capital markets team including senior real estate analyst Alan Jovinelly and senior transaction manager, Anne Williams. John Colussi was promoted to sales associate earlier this year.

The CBRE Philadelphia retail capital markets team, led by executive vice president, Brad Nathanson, focuses on shopping center investment sales within the greater Philadelphia region including New Jersey and Delaware. Since 2003, Mr. Nathanson has led over $2.5 billion in retail transactions across the region and has consistently been a top 3 producer since joining CBRE at the end of 2013.

Nathanson says, “These three individuals are a tremendous addition for our team combining over 60 years of shopping center operational and transactional experience from the ownership side. Together we feel that the ownership level experience will assist our clients in navigating through all retail operational issues and allow us to represent them at the very highest level.”

Adam Rosenzweig brings more than 17 years of commercial real estate experience to CBRE, most recently serving as senior vice president of leasing & asset management at The Goldenberg Group. In his role at The Goldenberg Group, Adam was responsible for directing the leasing team and the asset management division, while also playing an integral role in advising the finance team.

Prior to joining The Goldenberg Group, Adam worked for both private and publicly traded companies on both the Tenant and Landlord sides of business. In addition to having created, implemented and administered comprehensive budgets for more than 35 properties exceeding 10 million square-feet, Adam’s wide-ranging and competitive real estate skill set has resulted in over 2 million square-feet of successfully negotiated leases for big box, specialty, and in-line retail tenants creating value totaling more than $600 million.

Mr. Rosenzweig earned his Bachelor of Science degree in International Finance from The George Washington University and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Temple University. Adam is a member of the Jewish Federation Real Estate Group and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where he received the 2016 Leadership Circle Award for being one of the top 3 fundraisers in the Philadelphia region.

Mr. Jovinelly, a senior real estate analyst, will focuson the strategic underwriting, positioning, and analysis of retail properties for the team. Alan is a 36-year real estate veteran with extensive hands-on experience in acquisitions/valuations, bankruptcies, loan restructures, leasing, property management, workouts and value creation. Alan also brings a strong knowledge of banking, risk and portfolio management to the team. Mr. Jovinelly was previously with WP Realty overseeing two funds comprising of over 30 shopping centers and two office buildings totaling more than 4.2 million square feet. His career spanned 14 years as well at GE Commercial Finance as a Senior Equity and Loan Portfolio Manager where he was the top producer negotiating over 5 million square feet of leases and consummating $2.5 billion in transactions as well as recovering over $200 million of GAAP income.

As a senior transaction manager, Anne Williams will oversee the transaction and due diligence process of the team’s marketing and sale of retail assets to institutional and private buyers in the capital markets sector. Anne has been in the retail real estate industry for over 19 years with such well-known retail owners Brixmor and Madison Marquette.Most recently, she oversaw the operational and transactional aspects of a 7.5 million square foot enclosed mall and lifestyle center portfolio at Madison Marquette. Anne was previously a legal director and due diligence coordinator for over 13 years through the migration of Kramont Realty Trust to what is today the largest shopping center owner in the United States, Brixmor. Ms. Williams has extensive experience in the lending sector as well having worked on a number of complex financings including CMBS loans, REMICs, bridge loans, private equity and distressed asset work-out situations.

Finally, John Colussi was recently promoted to sales associate to enhance and further support Brad Nathanson specializing in the sale of retail shopping centers.John previously was an integral part of the success of the retail capital markets team being the lead senior analyst for the team involved in all aspects of the analysis and positioning of over $1 billion dollars sold since 2014. Previously John was a senior associate for Duff & Phelps where he valued over 230 properties across multiple asset types with a combined market value of over $6 billion.
