BelHealth-backed Beach House Names ex-Pennsylvania Governor Thomas Ridge to Board

Beach House Center for Recovery, a portfolio company of BelHealth Investment Partners, LLC, a New York-based healthcare private equity firm, announced the appointment of two new senior executives.

Beach House named Dr. Steven Levin, MD to the Company’s Board of Directors. Dr. Levin was among the first physicians in the country to be become fellowship-trained and board-certified in Pain Medicine.

With over 20 years of experience in pain management, Dr. Levin most recently joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2015 where he also serves as the Medical Director of the Regional Pain Program. Previously, he served on the faculty at University of Pittsburgh and Yale University.

Experienced in comprehensive pain management, he treats patients with a wide range of chronic pain conditions, such as spine-related pain, nerve injury, neuropathic pain, cancer pain, joint disease, myofascial pain, and biomechanical dysfunction. He has been selected as one of America’s Top Doctors since 2006 and was one of Connecticut’s Top Doctors in Pain Management 2013–2015. Dr. Levin studied molecular genetics at the University of Pennsylvania before attending medical school at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine.

In addition, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of former Governor Thomas Ridge.

Mr. Ridge serves on the BelHealth Advisory Board and is also the President and CEO of Ridge Global, an organization that assists business and governments with risk management, global trade security, emergency preparedness and response, strategic growth, infrastructure protection, technology integration and other issues. Mr. Ridge was the 43rd Governor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where he was first elected in 1995 and re-elected in 1999. Mr. Ridge was also a five-time member of the U.S. House of Representatives, starting in 1982. Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Mr. Ridge became the first Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and was appointed as the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2003. Throughout his public and private sector career, Mr. Ridge has received numerous honors, including the Woodrow Wilson Award, the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ Dwight D. Eisenhower Award, the John F. Kennedy National Award, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the American Bar Association’s John Marshall Award.
