Colliers Reps TwinMed in Optimization of Medical Supply Distribution Network

The Colliers International Logistics and Transportation Solutions team of Mark Chubb, Michael Zerbe, Summer Coulter have successfully assisted TwinMed in the leasing of 189,721 square feet of modern industrial fulfillment space at 1198 Feather Way in the newly constructed Steel City Trade Center, a state-of-the-art Class A logistics facility jointly developed by Trammell Crow and Clarion Partners.

TwinMed is the largest medical supply distributor solely focused on the post-acute care market, providing products throughout the United States within one day from a network of efficient, well stocked facilities. 1198 Feather Way represents a consolidation and expansion of TwinMed’s existing Lehigh Valley and Northern New Jersey operations, joining thirteen other sites across the country servicing skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home care, hospice and durable medical equipment providers.

As a major supplier of personal protection equipment (PPE) the firm was granted a waiver in the early days of the global coronavirus pandemic to allow the completion of construction for the facility. TwinMed plans to take occupancy tomorrow, April 15th.

The Steel City Trade Center is a speculative development comprised of two distribution buildings – recently completed 1198 Feather Way and 1200 Feather Way which will offer another 294,240 square feet of opportunity when completed later this year. The project is near Exit 67 off Interstate 78 in the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII at the Bethlehem Commerce Center, site of the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation plant, a prime Lehigh Valley location. LERTA benefits attached to the site offer up to $1.9M in occupancy savings over a ten-year period.

The transaction was completed in coordination with Christopher Volkert of the Colliers Chicago industrial team. Steel City Trade Center was represented by Vincent Ranalli of CBRE.
